ShapeUp App Reviews

So easy to use! Omg!!!!

I am not sure why some of these reviews say this app is non-functioning.....I mean, I am the MOST technologically (lol) illiterate person on the planet and I use this app with ease! I dont even know how to long in on the actual web page.....if it werent for this app I wouldnt even be doing the challenges! Love this app....makes logging the Swa challenges a piece of cake. After reading more reviews I lowered my rating a star. I suppose it would be very very nice to be able to see your team and communicate with them through the app. Thinking about it now, I will post a comment in the news feed and never see what others responded with, because I cant find my post; without scrolling through a million other post. Ok it could improve but this app is better than no app at all. Its free so.....what do I have the right to complain about? Nada

Shape Up shapes you up

Great app with tracking, feedback and community features. Convenient flow and easy to use.

Wellness program user

I use this app for my work wellness program. What I like is that the challenges make me think about my daily fitness. Other device apps do a much better job with monitoring. Its all in what you want the app for. It syncs with other wearable devices apps which is a plus.

Low Tech

The averaging feature includes zero days as you start, so the values are useless until you get through a whole cycle. There are plenty of pedometer apps, like Stepz, which works better. This is just an input portal for data.

Wont collect steps

I have a 5s and an apple watch. 2 ways to get my step data guys. This is useless Im not manually entering steps.

Useless

I want to see my company challenges here...

ShapeUp has helped me lose 20 Lbs in 3 Months

Keeps me motivated and moving and so much fun to see the trends. Easy for me, and I really like getting a text reminder when I forgot to log.

Needs a lot of work

Though it syncs up with the data I enter on the website, the UI needs a lot of work. The text doesnt wrap correctly and even in landscape mode its not all visible. Also, theres little integration with other apps (a possible opportunity for improvement)

Shapeup app

I have to use this app for our company wellness program and I dont like having to enter activities twice. I have to enter my time doing yoga or other activities and then I have to enter it again to convert the activities time to steps. I also have to enter my steps from my pedometer manually. The app on my iPhone is much better.

Forced to use it

I use MyFitnessPal and Up by Jawbone. My company though uses this app for insurance discounts and fun challenges. It is extremely basic. I like the newsfeed, but the lack of integration to other apps and Jawbone devices is beyond unacceptable in todays connected environment.

Not functional

First of all how are you going to name an app ShapeUp when it doesnt even have a basic pedometer integrated into the app itself? Im only using this for a work based challenge but it wouldve been nicer if the company had gone with a more functional app like RunKeeper to track AND log your exercise. To add to this, the "tracking" button should more appropriately be labeled "enter steps here" since again its lack of pedometer/gps tracking ability. Last but not least, if this is supposed to be for groups and teams of people to motivate one another, why is there no group communication/message posting? All you can do is update your status and if you want to see peoples response to you, the only way to get notified is by logging in through the website. Ive debated even going for the incentive because of how easy it would be for other teams to cheat and just track any number of steps.

GOOD BUT DO NOT HELP

This app is not what I expected!! Agree with all the comments, it is poor.

Not a great app

Not very intuitive or artistic

Terrible! But better than their horrible website

Forced to use this at work, such a terrible app: they ask if youve met your goals with very cryptic messages like "meet one of your healthier together goals" - well I have a few and they change, which one am I marking per this stupid question. Plus syncing with my phone to get my steps is totally unintuitive! But its easier than logging into a website. These people have never used their own product! Or if they have they should hire some real mobile designers to fix it!!!

Is less than one star possible?

ShapeUp makes a lot of promises and delivers none. The app is slow, the UX is out dated, and its not helpful. Unlike a lot of health and wellness apps, it does not: - have a database of foods to make meal or calorie information easy to input. - support integration with IOT devices to update movement and exercise and weight; again, all input is onerously manual. - enable easy communication with other people in the company on the same journey; this is suppose to be "social wellness." Not even close to social experiences we all use every day. The ShapeUp web site is worse than the app. Difficult to navigate and the same feature issues as mobile. A company looking to adopt ShapeUp should save their money. The hype is good and the CEOs TED talk inspiring. Its very disappointing that this app does not deliver at all.

Crashing

Keeps crashing every time I try to input information

App Crashes

The app crashes every time I try to input data.

Cannot link it to anything

I have a 6plus, use map my walk app, use the Microsoft health app, wear a Microsoft band and cannot get any of the info into this app automatically. This is so frustrating.

It doesnt play well with others.

This app is made for a corporate customer, not an actual user consumer.

Terrible

Absolutely terrible! It thinks today is 1 day ahead of what it actually is. This app is for people who sit at a desk in the corporate world & are inactive sedentary. It does not sync to my fitbit or garmin connect accounts correctly. Just terrible.... Cant believe this is what my multi-national multi-billion dollar company chose for a wellness partner!
